Vintage Photography

Mouse over photo to see the 'before' image.

Today I spent a little time playing with a new 'recipe' that Kim Klassen shared in Beyond Layers.  It allowed me to transform this modern snapshot of my friend Carol and her loveable dog, Molly, into a vintage photo.  In addition to using Kim's 'Kristen' texture, I also added a mask overlay to give me the softer edges.

If you want to learn how to do the mouse over technique, read my previous post here.

These photos are being linked to Our World TuesdayTexture TuesdaySweet Shot Tuesday, and Photo Show Off.

  1. Your processing really gave the photo a more sentimental and engaging feel to it...I love the candidness of your friend as her dog shows her some love...priceless.

  2. I really like your progress with the photography. It makes me want to give it another try. Everytime I try to manipulate anything on photoshop, I feel like I want to toss the computer to the curb.
