No More Excuses!

People are often saying, "I'll do it when I get a round tuit." Well, I've got just the thing!

I've been playing with my embellisher again lately.  I used various colours of felt, wool rovings, hand-dyed cheesecloth, yarns, etc. and I've been making round TUITs.  I've further embellished them with hand embroidery and beading to give them a bit more interest.

Here are the one's I've just finished:

Some Recent Pieces

It's been a while since I've been blogging regularly, mostly because I managed to escape life for a while and hide out in the quiet and solitude of the great Canadian north.  There is nothing like being surrounded by trees, water and wildlife to help one relax and focus on healing.  In addition to cycling, kayaking and dog walking, I did take along my art supplies and sewing machine so that I could enjoy 'art therapy' too.
Here are a few of the pieces I've finished over the last few months:

What Lies Beyond?
The Galley

I also made an alphabet crib quilt to celebrate the birth of my newest great niece.  Isn't she adorable!
