I'm a couple of days late posting this, but I thought I'd post the March and April calendars as we move into the new month.
I'm so glad I decided to start this art journal calendar. I've always liked the idea of keeping a journal, but I just don't seem to have much to write. This allows me a fun artistic outlet while capturing just a highlight or two of each day. I'm sure it will be interesting to look back at these in the years to come!
Oh I love this idea and how you created it! So alive and fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you Roberta. Kate Crane, from the UK, started the idea of art journal calendars (at least I think it was her idea) and there are actually a whole group of us on Facebook that share the spreads we're creating.
DeleteIt is a great idea and very popular recently in creative circles, We have the same group and share results in blog each month
ReplyDeleteYour April gives me hope that at last winer will be over! Helen from snowy Lviv
Thanks Kliaksa. It is such a wonderful way to journal. And yes, it's popularity seems to have taken off all over the world!
DeleteThese are both lovely Linda. I started calendars this year as well. It has been great already to look back over the days and see all the things I did. It's a fun and helpful piece of Art!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lori. It's funny how it takes some brilliant, artistic person to come up with such a fabulous idea that we all then fall in love with and latch on to for it's incredible beauty and simplicity.
DeleteThank you Sallie!
ReplyDeleteYour art journal calendar pages inspired me to take a used journal, on the first two blank pages I did the art journal calendar for January, then divided pages into halfs to write events of the day. I didn't have enough pages to add September to December, so I found another partly used journal and will complete my art journal calendar and journal pages
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear you've been inspired enough to join the fun Teresa!
