Okay, it might not be a herring but it's a little red fish! On Sunday evening, while watching the Academy Awards, I added the beads to this fish that I had sewn up earlier in the day. He's about 3 1/2" long and he's going to be used as an embellishment on a piece I'm planning to enter into a juried show.

Bead Journal Project: February and a Red Herring
Okay, it might not be a herring but it's a little red fish! On Sunday evening, while watching the Academy Awards, I added the beads to this fish that I had sewn up earlier in the day. He's about 3 1/2" long and he's going to be used as an embellishment on a piece I'm planning to enter into a juried show.
That's a very detailed piece of art. I'll keep watching to see how the puzzle pieces come together.
ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa. It's really a lot of fun to work on.
DeleteThat's fabulous how the puzzle pieces are fitting! I was a bit concerned that they might not fit the way you hoped, but I see I worried for no reason at all :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cyndi. I had worried about them fitting together too, but thankfully the first two are okay. So sweet that you were worried for me. :o)
DeleteThese first two puzzle pieces together look very promising, indeed!
ReplyDeleteAnd please don't forget to eventually let us see the piece that the red goldfish-herring is going to be part of.
Thank you Sabine. And yes, I will show you the piece that the fish are going on, after they have been submitted to the juried show in April.
DeleteLove the puzzle idea for the beading journal!! Can't wait to see the entire project!!! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay. You'll see it, but only one month at a time. Have a great week.
DeleteI was also curious/concerned how well the pieces would go together, but you handled that issue beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Funny that I'm not the only one who was wondering if it would work. :o)
DeleteI too wondered how the pieces would fit but like a glove they fit perfectly. It's quite exciting waiting for the next puzzle piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marj. I guess everyone's worries helped those little pieces fit. LOL
DeleteLovely work! Wow, you certainly are versatile and able to use many mediums with beautiful efficiency! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Juliana. Variety is the spice of life!
DeleteThe strong black lines really help with the flow. Looking forward to the next piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks Evanna. And yes, it needs the black to define the shapes.
DeleteI love the puzzle piece and the wonderful color choices. I also adore the fish!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth. The little fish is kind of cute isn't he. LOL
DeleteI'm always amazed by the talent and creativity of others. The finished product is going to be absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara. Have a great week.
DeleteThis is going to be such fun. I don't know how you've managed to get the pieces to join so perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks April. You're reminded me I should probably get started on this months piece!
